"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" (Lao-Tzu)
Part 1
Long-Term Goals:
1. Obtaining about 10 million yen in savings
2. Having a high-class social network
3. Finding a career that will be satisfying financially and spiritually.
--More specifically, my goal is to increase my financial gains on a yearly basis, and be emotionally and mentally fulfilled in doing it.
A career that will:
Enable me to get a bigger and nicer house for my wife and children.
Bring in more than what we spend.
Give me time to spend with my family.
Not stress me out and occupy my thoughts to a point that I'm mentality incapable of the big responsibility of husband and father.
Give me time every week after fulfilling my marital and child-rearing initiatives to spend with friends, which is integral for personal happiness and self-esteem.
4. Having a truly happy family
--One that sincerely understands and supports my endeavors, and who I undoubtedly and uncompromisingly keep at the forefront of my priorities.
5. Happily married to a wife who I respect and adore and who returns in kind
--I want much better communication than we have now
6. Healthy and physically fit
--This is one goal that the Mitsubishi Transport Center has helped me to reach, but I hope that I can continue even with my new job.
7. Loyal friends who will be there to catch me when I fall
--I believe that friends are integral in personal happiness and healthy self-esteem. No man is an island, and needs to confide and be confided in by someone(s).
8. Become a well-known positive figure in the local community; known also for faithful participation in area activities, events, and endeavors.
--Eventually, down the line after I settle into my career, I want to stick to one location and focus on my relationship with the local community. This goes hand-in-hand with my retirement plan of becoming marriage/life counselor after I've sealed my financial bases and settled into a friendly community.
9. Invest in writing
--This is a personal dream that I expect to work on down the line when I have more time.
